Leatherman Surge black, MOLLE-sheath, model 2013

The Leatherman Surge is a large multi-tool for professional use. You see straight away that this is the big brother of the popular Leatherman Wave. Similar tools, but 15% larger. The Surge is constructed as such that some parts are replaceable. Very sustainable when you use the tool often.

The full tang has interchangeable wire cutters. So you can sharpen them, or even replace them. The saw is also replaceable. You can trade it for the included file or for any other tool with SDS-connection. That is the standard connection you find in most jigsaws.

Just like its little brother the Leatherman Surge has two knives that are accessible from the outside. A large serrated knife and a knife with a smooth blade. Both can be opened with one hand and both are locked by a linerblock. The saw and scissors need to be opened with both hands and are also blocked by a linerlock.

All other tools are kept in place by a type of backlock. After all, you don't want the screwdriver to close when you are using it. On the inside you find screwdrivers, a can opener, an awl and more.
