The **Medford Mizuchi** is a compact yet robust fixed knife. It's small enough to carry as an EDC knife. However, with its 6.4 mm thick blade, this knife will be a reliable companion in a survival situation. It's the perfect knife for people who agree with the famous statement: 'The best survival knife is the knife you have with you'.

## 20CV steel blade

CPM 20CV is a premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. CPM 20CV is the American version of M390, a premium steel type from Europe. 20CV used to be made by Latrobe/Duratech, but more recently it's been produced by Crucible according to the CPM principles. As it's a very hard steel type it's a little more difficult to sharpen, which is why we recommend using diamond-coated sharpening stones from DMT/Wicked Edge or WorkSharp.

## G10 handle

The handle is made from G10, a strong composite material made from glass fibres and synthetic resin. G10 is water resistant and hard-wearing. 

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. It takes approximately one year for Medford to ship their knives. Knives that are listed as in stock on our website are available and can be shipped immediately. So make sure you don't miss out: it might take a while for new stock to arrive!
