The **Naniwa Leather Strop** is a strop made of calf leather and intended as the last step in the sharpening process. Use the strop to make your knife even sharper and to give your knife edge a mirror finish. The smooth leather is glued to a piece of magnolia wood and has a rubber anti-slip layer on the underside so that your strop doesn't slip while you're stropping. Naniwa is known for its excellent Japanese sharpening stones. This strop is the perfect next step after sharpening on your Naniwa sharpening stones.


The strop is delivered "bare", without thestropping compound or diamond paste. It isn't necessary to use a compound for this strop. However, using a compound does give slightly faster results. You can decide which method you prefer.
