This stone uses resin to bind the abrasives, in this case white aluminum oxide.  

It does not soak up water and therefore does not require frequent wetting. Super Stones wear slowly and maintain a constant sharpening effect.  

  
  


Splash with water before and during sharpening, do not soak or store in water.

Super steen,voldoet aan alle verwachtingen,makkelijk in gebruik.
1 minpunt voor kniveentools,er was een gratis houder belooft bij bestelling maar was niet te vinden in mijn pakje.

Très voir trop tendre, quasi impossible à utiliser classiquement, je suis obligé d'affuter en fuyant le tranchant sinon le couteau mord la pierre :(
Peut-être ma technique n'est pas la bonne, pourtant j'ai eu un grand nombre de pierre à aiguiser dans ma vie sans rencontrer ce phénomène...
Je pense qu'une Chosera ne m'aurait pas posé ce problème = mon prochain achat :)

I use this stone to get a sharp polished edge on various knives. It is very easy to use, a good size for everyday use. I use a small amount of water as lubricant only. excellent for getting 'burrs' off the cutting edge of knives.

Great product, a little pricey but seems like it will last a long time. 3000 better to get fine sharpness compared with lower coarse ratings
