Resin bound whetstone 3000 / 10000 grit  


This stone uses resin to bind the abrasives, in this case white aluminium oxide.  

It does not soak up water and therefore does not require frequent wetting. Super Stones wear slowly and maintain a constant sharpening effect.  

  
  


Splash with water before and during sharpening, do not soak or store in water.  
  

**About grit sizes**  

Whetstones come in various grit sizes. The higher the number, the finer the grit. A finer grit results in a sharper knife. Sharpening a really dull knife on a fine grit will take much time, so you will need to treat it on a coarser grit first.  
  



* 120 - 600: Appropriate when real dull knives need to be brought back in the right shape

* 800 - 1,000: Appropriate to sharpen knives that were already in a reasonable state

* 2,000 - 3,000: For a result sharper than most knives are when they leave the factory

* 5,000 - 12,000: To polish the knife and get a razor sharp edge

Sehr guter Wasserstein, entspricht genau meinen Vorstellungen. Ist mein erster versuch, hat sofort hervorragend geklappt, habe ihre Videoanleitungen angesehen und auch ihre Liste zum einstellen des richtigen Schleifwinkels hat mir sehr geholfen. Habe damit nachdem ich mit dem Naniwa Chosera Wasserstein Körnung 1000 vorgeschliffen habe ein Sanduko Damastmesser geschliffen, dann mit dem Wasserstein 3000/10000 nachgeschliffen, hat tip top geklappt.
Den Tomatentest sofort bestanden. 

Ik had verwacht voor de prijs en gezien het een kunstmatige slijpsteen is een perfect vlakke steen te ontvangen. Aangezien ik mijn scheermes hier op slijp is dit redelijk belangrijk. Aan de andere kant, als je niet weet wat je doet heb je ook niets aan een steen ;-)  De steen was snel vlak gemaakt en voldoet erg goed aan de verwachting. Verder zeer tevreden over de snelheid van afhandelen en het briefje bij de bestelling wie deze had samengesteld. Al met al een zeer positieve ervaring!

Mijn set is met drie combistenen nu mooi compleet. Fijn groot oppervlak.

Top. Produit parfait, attention le grain 10000 est super tendre, bien gérer son angle d'affutage pour ne pas marquer la pierre.
Le poli rasoir est parfait. Astuce, pour aplanir la pierre marquée, la frotter sur un papier de verre de 120 ou 280.
