This sharpening stone uses resin to bind the abrasives, in this case white aluminium oxide.  

It does not soak up water and therefore does not require frequent wetting. Super Stones wear slowly and maintain a constant sharpening effect.  

  
  



Splash with water before and during sharpening, do not soak or store in water.  
  

**About grit sizes**  

Whetstones come in various grit sizes. The higher the number, the finer the grit. A finer grit results in a sharper knife. Sharpening a really dull knife on a fine grit will take much time, so you will need to treat it on a coarser grit first.  
  



* 120 - 600: Appropriate when real dull knives need to be brought back in the right shape

* 800 - 1,000: Appropriate to sharpen knives that were already in a reasonable state

* 2,000 - 3,000: For a result sharper than most knives are when they leave the factory

* 5,000 - 12,000: To polish the knife and get a razor sharp edge

Zeer fijne steen,voor het fijne werk.Werkt polijstend zo fijn.
Heel goed.

De voet waar de steen op staat is ook heel prettig om mee te werken.
De steen staat wat hoger, wat prettiger werkt,en hij glijdt niet weg.

dit is toch echt wel onmisbaar als het echt scherp moet zijn 


Pierre de bonne facture. Pour une pierre à eau on pourrait s'attendre à ce que les pieds en caoutchouc soit plus adhérents ...

Deze steen heeft een mooi formaat, groter dan de Eden set die ik voorheen gebruikte. Het mes wordt erg scherp. De reden om niet hoger te gaan dan een 8 is omdat ik de steen toch wel erg zacht en kwetsbaar vind. Je schraapt gemakkelijk materiaal waardoor het oppervlak beschadigd. 

Prima steen die geheel voldoet aan de verwachting. Prijs kwaliteit is ook in orde.
