The **Opinel Les Pyrénéés natural sharpening stone** is a sharpening stone to keep your Opinel knife sharp. This grey sharpening stone is a La Pyrénéés natural stone from the French Pyrenees. This stone contains small quartz crystals that make sure the stone does what it is supposed to: sharpen your knives. This stone has a grain size of approx. 1200 grit and is therefore great when sharpening relatively blunt knives.

## How to use the Opinel La Pyrénéés

Submerge the stone in water for a couple of minutes before use. Make sure that you keep the stone wet as you're sharpening too. Keep your Opinel knife at an angle of about 20 degrees when you're sharpening. How long you'll have to sharpen depends on the bluntness of your knife. Usually, 5 to 30 minutes will be enough. Make sure to sharpen both sides of your knife until it's sharp again.
