The Rick Hinderer Extreme Duty Pen is a slim tactical pen, designed by knife maker Rick Hinderer. With a total length of 14.1 cm and a diameter of 12.3 mm this is quite a big boy. Hinderer selected a Fisher Space pen refill as the refill.

It’s a heavy pen so if you don’t like heavy pens it’s maybe not for you. I love the brass and milling, it will patina beautifully. Cons, the milling is a bit sharp but it does not bother me much. It writes well and if needed it can be used as a kubaton and glass breaker. I use the pen frequently and it is a part of my daily EDC.
