The Robert Klaas Monolith Lockback is a large and cool pocket knife, designed for hunting purposes. You don't have to be a knife enthusiast to recognize this classic design. Over the past 50 years this type of pocket knife has been produced by many knife brands. This is, however, a very nice and stylish edition of this design.
The handle of this knife is made from olive wood. A stunning Mediterranean type of wood that has an amazing pattern and smells great. The ricasso contains the logo of Kissing Cranes: two cranes sharing a sultry moment. The bolsters are made from luxurious nickel silver.
This pocket knife is enhanced with a clippoint blade. You open this pocket knife with two hands. When opened a back lock holds the blade in place. A rock-solid lock which has earned its stripes over the years.
The blade is made from 440C steel. Stainless, easy to sharpen and retains its sharpness well. A great type of steel that is the basis of many modern alloys.
