Stevig mes met een schede die zeker zijn tijd zal meegaan ( zeer taai materiaal).
Schede is wel een beetje aan de grote kant ( uiterlijk) waardoor de militaire invloed wat versterkt wordt. Handig kampeer mes dat zeker tegen een duwtje kan, zonder er als een echt rambo mes uit te zien.
Heeft ook een goede grip op het handvat, al kan bij langdurig gebruik wel een paar handschoenen aan te raden zijn (voelt nogal hard aan in de hand). Al bij al een goed mes voor een prijsje (is een stuk goedkoper dan de f1 van fallkniven)

Prima mes, voelt goed aan en scherp! Snelle bezorging en geen enkel probleem met kato.

Na ontvangst het mes uiteraard uitvoerig bekeken en getest.
Wat als eerste opvalt is het geringe gewicht van het mes. Omdat ik een relatief klein en lichtgewicht mes zocht is dit iets wat mij zeer beviel.
Het heft ligt goed in de hand en door de structuur heb je een goede grip op het mes. Wat ik helaas mis aan het heft is een metalen stootrand aan het einde.
Ten aanzien van de Seal Pup editie zijn de iets diepere vingergroeven een vebetering voor de ligging in de hand.

Het Lemmet is naar mijn mening mooi vorm gegeven en de iets gekartelde bovenkant is prettig om snel inkepingen in bijvoorbeeld hout te maken. Er wordt wel beweerd dat het een soort zaagfunctie betreft maar daar is niet effectief genoeg voor naar mijn mening.
Het mes wordt vlijmscherp geleverd en door de hardheid van het staal blijft het ook na intensief gebruik vlijmscherp.
Ondanks dat het een relatief klein vaststaand mes is, is het goed te gebruiken om kleine stammen snel te splijten.
Een ander voordeel van het ongecoate "satin finish" lemmet vind ik dat het langer mooi blijft. Natuurlijk niet de belangrijkste reden om het mes te kopen maar wanneer de coating eraf slijt heb je immers ook niets meer aan de roestwerende functie.
Door het inlopende gedeelte tussen het geslepen gedeelte van het lemmet en het heft is het mes gemakkelijk te slijpen.

Het kydex foedraal is praktisch en mooi vorm gegeven, echter het voelt wel wat kwetsbaar aan. Daarnaast snijdt het mes regelmatig binnen in het foedraal in het begin.
Ook is de nylon band bevestigd met schroeven wat los zou kunnen raken.
De vele ogen en kwalitatieve riembevestinging maken het mogelijk om het mes op vele manieren te bevestigen op bijvoorbeeld je been, jas/ops vest of je tas.

Al met al een kleine krachtpatser, zeer geschikt voor lichtere survivalwerkzaamheden en door z'n gewicht en veelzijdigheid een fijne keuze om bij je te dragen.
Een mooie middenmaat waarbij je verzekerd bent van een kwalitatief mes. Het kan met plezier gebruikt worden voor zowel het precieze snijwerk als het grovere werk.
