Again, knife maker Rick Hinderer proved to us, that he makes the best of knives together with Zero Tolerance. The 0566 is a smaller knife than the 0560 or 0561. This makes it a perfect knife for daily use.   
  


The blade is made of S35VN steel, which stays sharp for a very long time. The stonewash finish will camouflage light traces of usage.   
  


One side of the 0566 handle is made of G10, while the other side is made of stainless steel. The knife has a solid body lock which keeps the blade fixed while open. The pocket clip can be mounted in 4 different ways and is placed on the very end of the handle. This means that the 0566 goes very deep into your pocket while still secured with the pocket clip.   
  
 

This pocket knife has a Speedsafe assisted opening system, which means that a torsion spring will help you when opening the blade. This works effectively and fast.

Ik heb dit mes gekocht omdat ik het een ontzettend móói mes vind. Als edc is het voor mij te fors, helemaal met de assisted opening. Maar op vakantie hikend of klussend in de volkstuin komt het goed van pas.
Het mes heeft een fijn gewicht waardoor je wel het gevoel krijgt iets in handen te hebben. De afwerking is enerzijds goed vanwege de gebruikte materialen (S35vn en g10/roestvast staal), maar anderzijds is het ook minder: het lemmet is niet helemaal perfect gecentreerd en om de lock te ontgrendelen is er helaas geen uitsparing gefreesd waardoor het soms wat lastig te bereiken is met je duim. Het mes ligt wel subliem in de hand. 
Al met al ben ik erg blij met dit 'proudly overbuilt' mes. 

Heb het mes gekozen via de andere beoordelingen hier . Was aan het twijfelen tussen de Kershaw en ZT.  Het moest met knipsysteem zijn . Het is deze ZT geworden , onder het motto " je koopt zo'n mes voor meerdere jaren " . Geen seconde spijt . Het mes ligt goed in de hand . Niet te zwaar of te licht . Vlijmscherp. Kortom , schitterend produkt , en relatief goedkoop in vergelijking met andere modellen in het ZT- gamma.

Kwam vlijmscherp uit de verpakking. Qua formaat ideaal voor EDC. Ook positief is de deep cary clip en de "gladde zijde" aan de kant van de pocketclip. Het gewicht lijkt door het gebruik van staal i.p.v. titanium fors, maar viel mij reuze mee. De grip is fenomenaal. De slogan van ZT is op dit mes zeker van toepassing: Build like a tank.  

Geweldig mes voldoen aan al mijn eisen. Doordat hij iets kleiner is dan de ZT 560 / 562 voldoet hij voor mij als dagelijkse EDC.
