At 26 centimetres, these **Victorinox tailor's scissors** are seriously long. This makes them highly suitable for cutting fabric. Tailor's scissors also differ from other types of scissors in terms of design. The two eyes are asymmetrical, and you keep the elongated eye at the bottom while you use the scissors. This allows you to pull the scissors through under a large piece of fabric. Fabric scissors are often also a lot sharper, to make sure the edge won't get caught behind the fabric and cause it to fray.

## Victorinox tailor's scissors

These scissors are made from plastic and stainless steel. The plastic handles feel great in hand. The eyes are two different sizes, so you can get a better grip on them. Despite the stainless steel, we don't recommend cleaning the scissors in the dishwasher. You can easily disassemble the scissors with the help of the screw. This makes them easy to clean by hand. It is also easy to [sharpen scissors](en/ct/how-do-you-sharpen-scissors.htm). You can also use the screw to adjust the resistance of the snipping.

## Fabric scissors are intended for fabric

Tailor's scissors are often also referred to as fabric scissors, and with good reason. If you buy good fabric scissors, make sure you don't keep them in the kitchen drawer. Before you know it, you'll accidentally use the scissors to cut a piece of paper, and that is disastrous for the sharp edge. This is because fabric scissors are sharpened at a much smaller angle than, for example, household scissors, making the edge narrower and therefore more vulnerable to damage and blunting. Tailor's scissors are really only meant for cutting fabrics.
