The **Bark River Bravo 1 CPM 3V, K-07-121GNV** was designed for military use, specifically for the United States' Marine Corps. Soon, however, it became clear that this knife could do so much more. Today, the Bravo 1 is a beloved knife amongst bushcraft enthusiasts and hunters. It has a solid construction, with enough blade thickness for heavy-duty tasks. Perfect for wood work, gutting game and many other outdoor tasks.

## Bark River Bravo 1 CPM 3V ramp

The spine of the blade features a so-called  **ramp, a small protrusion with serrations on one side. Intuitively, the ramp appears to be a little too far back for natural placement of the thumb. However, you are meant to place your thumb just in front of the ramp. This makes it easier to apply force during tasks that require greater precision. The serrated edge of the ramp is shaped in such a way that producing sparks with a firesteel becomes a piece of cake.

## Bark River Bravo 1 CPM 3V blade

The blade is made from American CPM 3V steel. A premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. As you'd expect from Bark River, the knife is razor-sharp. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

## Bark River Bravo 1 CPM 3V handle

The handle is made from micarta. This is a strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. It is comfortable to hold, even in wet or cold conditions.

The Bark River Bravo 1 comes with a leather belt sheath (max. belt width 8.0 cm).

Bark River Knives makes all of their knives almost entirely by hand. As a result, each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife will have a unique look.
