The Bark River Mini Bushcrafter is a perfect, lightweight bushcraft knife, in a very small size. The blade is thin, razor-sharp and large enough to carry out smaller tasks. This knife's three-finger grip gives you plenty of control. Bark River designed this knife specifically for bushcraft enthusiasts and hikers who pay close attention to weight. The knife itself weighs only 52 grams, and with the sheath it comes to around 100 grams. It is therefore a very lightweight and compact option for standard tasks around the campfire.
The blade is made from CPM 3V steel, a tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. It is very hard to break, and also retains its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean it after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has a convex grind that can be maintained by stropping it.
The handle is made of canvas micarta, which is a strong and lightweight material made from linen and synthetic resin. It feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold conditions.
The Bark River Mini Bushcrafter comes with a leather belt sheath. It is perfect for both left-handed and right-handed use (max. belt width 4.7 cm).
Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife may differ from the photos. Therefore the knife you receive might be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
