The **Benchmade Steep Country Hunter 15008** is a versatile outdoor knife. The name might make you think that this is purely a hunting knife. However, when you hold it you notice that the Steep Country Hunter is capable of a lot more. We, for instance, think it is perfect for hikers or anyone who loves outdoor cooking.

 The blade is made from CPM S30V-steel. This is a stainless type of powder steel. It is one of the few types of steel that was specifically designed to be used for knives. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. The handle is made from Santoprene-rubber. This type of rubber covers the end of the handle and offers you enough grip and is wear resistant. At the back of the handle, however, a type of 'fins' stick out that provide extra grip, without being too overly present. In addition, the spine has been enhanced with jimping in two places. These point you, as it were, towards different grip positions. The jimping towards the tip, for instance, is perfect for your index finger while gutting game. As a result you automatically place your thumb on the side of the handle, where you will also find a cut-out.

 The Benchmade Steep Country Hunter comes with a special kydex sheath. The sheath has been enhanced with a leather belt loop with retention strap.
