The Bestech Parrot BT1807 is a very compact pocket knife with a pointed blade. The shape of the blade looks a little like a bird. Hence the name: parrot. You quickly open the knife with the flipper. Because of the ball bearings it moves smoothly. You can, however, also open the pocket knife with one hand using the thumb hole.
In terms of design Bestech did what it excels at. A large enough handle for your entire hand, but accompanied by a blade that will hardly stand out in your pocket. The finger groove in between the flipper and the edge has enough room for your index finger. As such you have a lot of control over the blade. Especially if you also place your thumb on the spine of the blade and can almost touch the tip.
The blade is made from CPM S35VN-steel. This is a stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. It is also relatively tough which is great if you use it intensively. The blade is locked by a solid framelock. It is enhanced with a steel interface which also prevents the lock from overstretching. It is great how, at the the end of the titanium handle, you won't really see a screw that keeps the whole together. Bestech namely nicely added this to the lanyard eye.
