The **Buck 499 Paklite Guthook** is a fixed cutting hook, designed for hunting purposes. You use it to open the belly of shot game without damaging the intestines. Buck went with an ultra-light design. A steel frame with a sharp cutting edge, *that's it.* No scales or other unnecessary luxury: this is it.

 Buck designed this Paklite Gut hook for hunting purposes, but you can also use it when cutting through thin rope, packing straps or tie-rips. Because Buck used 420HC steel for the blade and used the famous BOS heat treatment it will retain its sharpness for a really long time.

 You can easily carry it with you in the included nylon belt sheath. Perfect for both horizontal and vertical carry.
