De hoge prijs van dit mes zit niet alleen in de gebruikte materialen en hoge afwerking maar ook in de naam Chris Reeve.

Het is zeker een mooi mes en er is niks aan te merken over de kwaliteit. Het zit solide in elkaar en voelt heel degelijk.
Dit mes kan gebruikt worden en zal meer dan een levenlang meegaan.

Maar het is te duur. Voor dezelfde prijs heb je een Fällkniven P3G EN een Fällkniven PXL Micarta. 

De P3G is even groot zowel opgevouwen als uitgeklapt en weegt ongeveer hetzelfde. De Chris Reeve TiLock wint het wel in robuustheid van de P3G. Maar mocht je zwaar gaan klussen dan gebruik je de PXL. Die is weer robuuster dan de TiLock.

Het metaal voor het lemmet van de Fällkniven (62 HRC) is ook harder dan die van de TiLock. (59 HRC)
De TiLock kwam ook niet scheermes scherp uit de verpakking en beide Fällkniven wel.

De blokkeringssysteem van de TiLock is meer decoratief dan praktisch. Het openen van het mes met één hand is vrij lastig en het sluiten met één hand helemaal. 

In de praktijk is de TiLock meer een mes voor in een verzameling. Hij is mooi en je voelt dat je een waardevol object in handen hebt. Eigenlijk te mooi om er krassen op te maken. 

Wil je een verzamelobject dan is de TiLock een hele mooie aanwinst. Zoek je een mes die je ook daadwerkelijk gaat gebruiken dan ben je beter af met een Fällkniven. (of twee)
