## Civivi Starflare damascus steel

The blade is made from damascus steel. This is a type of steel comprised of two different steels that have been forged and folded together. By folding it in different ways you end up with a stunning pattern. Originally, damascus steel was forged to improve the quality of the steel. Nowadays, it simply looks cool. The Wharncliffe blade shape and straight edge make this knife excellent for cutting in straight lines. Great when opening boxes, for instance.
