I love this knife... but... The reputation of the SRK precedes this review, and I don't have much to add to all that has already been said. I do love the SRK (and SRK-C), but I am really not a fan of hollow grinds. It does however perform beautifully at most tasks and makes for an excellent budget "survival" knife. However, if you have a little more cash to spend I would HIGHLY recommend going for the Cold Steel SRK in CPM-3V... not only because of the premium steel but that edition doers have a flat grind, which takes this knife to a whole new level! Alternatively, if you like this general design but want something even more premium & potent, take a look at the Fallkniven A1 or S1 (or the "X" series of either of those), these offer a far more functional knife for the heavier tasks, especially processing wood, and have a beautiful convex grind that comes hair shaving sharp.
