The **CRKT Avant-Tac 5820** is a large pocket knife, designed by Eric Ochs. His 2019 Avant design is already really popular. Time for a more tactical edition of the Avant: the Avant-Tac. In addition to a flipper a thumb hole and thick steel liners with G10 scales. A little more EDC than the Avant which looks a little more like a gentleman's knife.

 The CRKT Avant-Tac feels solid because of its solid construction. The G10 scales offer enough grip, even in wet circumstances. The blade is locked by, what is technically called, a liner lock. And yet the liners are so thick this lock is almost as strong as a frame lock.

 The blade is made from 8Cr13CoMov steel: simple, stainless, tough and easy to sharpen. Simply good for a knife like this. IKBS ball bearings ensure that the knife opens quickly.

 All in all the CRKT Avant-Tac is the successful brother of the Avant. The differences are substantial but you can still tell that they are related. A tough EDC pocket knife you can do almost anything with.
