The **Dutch Blade Works Xerxes** is a very cool pocket knife, designed by Tashi Bharucha and Gudy van Poppel. These designers designed the custom 'Xerxes' together, and the new Dutch Blade Works has looked at the production version. Unique about this pocket knife is its tapered backspacer. This means that the backspacer tapers at the end of the handle. On custom knives already quite unique, in the world of production knives only rarely shown. The tolerances required are hardly ever met by anyone. Dutch Blade Works found in WE Knife the only one who dared to take on this challenge, and the result is impressive.

 What's great about the Xerxes is how design elements from both designers are reflected in the design. The overall shape with the blade that is located slightly lower than the handle is typical for the French Tashi. The clip and tapered backspacer are typical for the Dutch Gudy.

 With a blade length of 9.3 cm, this is quite a big boy. However, due to the flat, thin handle, it is still easy to take with you. The titanium scales have a subtle texture on the sides and faux bolsters. The backspacer has been enhanced with a lanyard eye which you can use to attach a lanyard.

 The blade is made from CPM 20CV-steel. One of the most popular steels at the moment. Chemically similar to the well-known Böhler M390 steel, this too is a steel that remains sharp for an extremely long time and is also extremely stainless. You can quickly open it with the flipper. It runs very smoothly because of the ceramic ball bearings. When opened a strong framelock will block the blade. Of course, the frame lock is enhanced with a steel insert to prevent wear and tear. The Detent ball is also ceramic for an extra-long life.
