This Fissler Vitavit Premium pressure cooker is very well made and suitable for all heat sources, including induction. Safety is paramount with this pressure cooker. There are plenty things built-in that ensure that you quickly and safely cook with this pressure cooker.
What do you use a pressure cooker for?
A pressure cooker shortens the cooking time for a particular dish. A stew that you would normally put in braisers could save you up to 70% of the cooking time. Also when cooking vegetables the vitamins are better preserved. Not only more efficient, but also healthier!
This Fissler pressure cooker seals shut perfectly. The metal edges in the lid fall perfectly into the metal edges on the pan itself. A thick rubber sealing ring ensures that this seal air-tight and water-tight. When you close the pan, you hear a clear click when it is closed properly. The safety handle has an indicator which shows exactly when the pan is correctly shut.
Cooking levels
This Fissler Vitavit Premium pressure cooker features 3 different cooking levels. You can cook under very high pressure, a bit less pressure, or use the steam function. The steam basket allows you to steam vegetables or other products. Because the pan is not pressurized in the steam mode, you can also use this mode when you want to bake something inside the pan before pressure cooking it. You can then open the lid easily. The different cooking modes can be switched through the button on the top of the lid.
Indicator
The button on the lid also has an indicator. It clearly shows the pressure status of the pan. Green indicates the right temperature and when the cooking time begins. Yellow show you can reduce the heat source a little because there is enough temperature and pressure. Red indicates you should watch out because the pan is overheating.
High-quality CookStar-bottom surface
The best feature of the Vitavit series is the Cook Star-bottom. It makes the pan suitable for use on all the different heat sources. This makes the also very suitable for cooking on induction. Switching between heat sources is also easy. The bottom surface won’t bend, which will happen with other pans of lower quality.
Maximum capacity
As a safety measure you cannot fill a pressure cooker to the edge. On the inside of the pan you will an easy measurement scale. These are the maximum contents:
- Pressure cooker of 2,5 l: can take up to 1,5 l
- Pressure cooker of 4,5 l: can take up to 3,0 l
- Pressure cooker of 6,0 l: can take up to 4,0 l
The pressure cooker comes with a comprehensive manual. We recommend to read it before first use. This contains valuable tips on use, cleaning and maintenance.
