The Hultafors HVK GH Craftsman’s Knife is a fixed knife for craftsmen. It's a straightforward, no-nonsense knife. No frills, no fuss. It's great for sharpening pencils, opening packaging, and many other tasks you encounter every day. The Hultafors HVK also comes in handy as a budget bushcraft knife.
The blade is made from Japanese carbon steel. This is a sturdy steel that is easy to sharpen. It isn't stainless, though, so take care around moisture and acids. The handle is made from polypropylene and encased in a layer of Santoprene. This rubber-like plastic provides extra grip.
The knife comes with a handy sheath so you can carry it on a belt up to 4 cm wide. You can also hang it from a button on your overalls. To do this, unclip the belt loop, slide the button in and then click it into place. Very practical!
