This Kai Shun knife set is comprised of three Kai Shun Classic knives and an oak wood cutting board. The Kai Shun Classic knives are provided with a 32-layer stainless steel damask blade. Damask steel is comprised of a number of layers of steel that are forged on top of each other. This makes this type of steel very pure and hard. The V-Gold-10 core ensures that the knife is amazing to use. The hardness of these blades is 61 ±1 HRC, which is exceptionally hard. As such the knives retain their sharpness for a really long time. The handles are made of laminated pakka wood and have an asymmetrical shape. Because the set consists of a Santoku, paring- and utility knife, and a cutting board you have everything you need to start a new culinary experience. Because of its look and feel and ultimate cutting properties this knife is an absolute joy to behold and amazing to use.
