The **Kershaw CQC-11K** is a cool hunting knife, designed by Ernest Emerson. He originally designed the Emerson Rendezvous. Originally designed as a hunting knife, but in reality also great for daily use.

 Of course the Kershaw CQC-11K is enhanced with the characterizing *Wave Opening Feature.* This feature enables you to open the knife when you take it from your pocket. Simply pull the knife back to make sure the hook on the spine of the blade gets caught behind the edge of your pocket and the knife will open on its own. You can, of course, also easily open the blade with one hand with the thumb disc.

 The nice skinner shape of the blade was originally meant for hunting purposes. The curve towards the tip and the relatively blunt tip are perfect when gutting game. But also during daily use the CQC-11K will come in handy. Because of the hollow grind this knife is namely amazing to use.

 The handle on the presentation side is enhanced with G10. The lock side is made from stainless steel. Here you will also find the steel frame lock that will keep the blade in place. This D2 edition has a blade made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of steel that retains it sharpness well. An excellent option for a knife in this price range. Tip: D2 is not completely stainless. Acids, salt and moisture could cause rust or discolouration in time. As such you should always clean it after use and occasionally add a couple drops of oil to the blade.

Tja, het is een Emerson design dat houd in Amerikaans. “The bigger the better”  Klein is hij inderdaad niet en hij ligt lekker in de hand. Is het een mes wat ik dagelijks bij me heb? Nee, daar is mijn ZT 0566 toch nog te lief voor. Maar dit mes gaat wel mee als ik mensen help met verhuizen of mijn pa help in het bedrijf.

Ik heb de D2 versie toch gekozen in plaats van de 8CR variant puur voor die extra Edge retention.

Verder een prima ding al zou ik voor de prijs wel bronze washers verwachten ipv teflon maar daar kunnen de helden van Knivesandtools niks aan doen.
