The **Kershaw Sanctum Assisted 1815** is a handy EDC knife with an assisted flipper that allows the blade to unfold at lightning speed. The blade has a wharncliffe shape which is perfect for opening boxes and making straight slices. The blade has a hollow-grind, ensuring the edge is wafer-thin and also stays that way when you sharpen it later. These characteristics give the blade excellent cutting properties. The deep-carry pocket clip can be attached to both the left side and right side, making this knife also suitable for left-handed users. 

## Kershaw Sanctum Assisted blade

The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV steel. This is a commonly-used steel type for pocket knives because of its good balance between hardness, corrosion resistance and affordability. It is easy to sharpen and retains its sharpness reasonably well, making it suitable for everyday tasks such as slicing and peeling. This blade features a blackwashed finish which hides any scratches and other traces of use. 

## Kershaw Sanctum Assisted handle

The handle is slightly curved and made of aluminium. A strong yet lightweight material. As a result, the knife feels very solid and weighs very little. The knife has an interchangeable deep-carry pocket clip to make the knife easy to carry in deeper trouser pockets for both left and right-handed use.
