The **Kizer Vanguard Zipslip** is a slipjoint pocket knife, designed by Michael Vagnino. When a knife is enhanced with a slipjoint it means that it is not enhanced with a lock. Sounds dangerous, but it isn't. The main advantage of a slipjoint pocket knife is that it is legal for carry in many places in Europe. 

You can open it with one hand with the practical thumb hole. You'll notice straight away that the slipjoint has a practical half-stop. This means that when closing the knife you have enough time to make sure your fingers are nowhere near the razor-sharp blade.

The blade is made from CPM-4V steel with a black coating. CPM-4V is a relatively unknown, stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The handle is made from micarta and enhanced with a deep-carry pocket clip. Because of its cool looks and high-end materials, the Zipslip is a modern incarnation of the classic slipjoint.
