Laguiole en Aubrac Sauveterre 9 cm Guillochees ebony wood, gentleman's knives
The Laguiole en Aubrac Sauveterre 9 cm Guillochees is a slim and subtle gentleman's knife. Just like the Laguiole knife is a part of the village of Laguiole, that is how the Sauveterre knife is inextricably linked to the village of Sauveterre. This village was once declared to be the most beautiful in France. This elegant gentleman's knife is the perfect match.
The spine of the liners in the handle is enhanced with stunning file work. This is applied by hand by experts at Laguiole en Aubrac. At the end of the spring, above the steel bolster, you will find a nicely shaped leaf. From there the lines run smoothly through to the subtly shaped blade. The single-sided swedge, and the fancy engraving of the logo make the knife look extra special.
You open the Sauveterre with two hands. When opened a solid slipjoint will block the blade, even though it isn't really a lock. It merely offers resistance. Enough for a gentleman's knife like this.
The handle is made from ebony wood. A dark type of wood which looks black. Under the light, however, you will find a beautiful, fine pattern in the wood.
|Right or left-handed||symmetrical|
|Blade shape||spear point|

Superb little knife. Very sharp on arrival. Despite being a slip joint knife (non locking blade), it feels safe and secure in use and is easy to open. Overall, it’s just a simple but elegant pocket knife.
