Leatherman Wingman

I tend to keep one of these in the tool roll alongside other bits and bobs – mostly when I’m out and about motorcycling or cycling. On a recent weekend ride from Calais to Wimeroux and then back I had the misfortune to have a strut on the rack fail on back of the tandem. The strut went through the rear wheel bringing us to a quick halt. Whilst there wasn’t a lot I could do with the damage to the spokes, armed primarily with the Wingman – using mostly the screwdriver bits and pliers, but also the main blade and the file; I managed to put together a firm enough solution to get us back to the port on Sunday. Whilst I had other tools with me, without the Wingman we would have been sunk. It’s light enough and small enough to easily pack, and at this price point excellent value. Don’t leave home without it.
