Italian design has an excellent reputation to maintain. A reputation which is once again validated by the beautiful details of the LionSteel TiSpine knives. The handle is milled from a single piece of titanium. A single pair of screws is used to mount the knife. Robert Young Pelton has designed the grooves in a fluent pattern and these are milled on a CNC lathe within strict tolerances. Pelton intended to create the lightest, most slender and yet strongest pocket knife in the world.   
  

The blade, which is made of Elmax powder steel, is locked by a frame lock. The thumb hole supports one handed opening.   
  

The pocket clip has been shaped with the same care as the rest of the knife. It’s mounted on the very edge of the handle, which is why the knife disappears almost entirely into your pocket.   
  

This knife is extremely functional and perfect for anyone who loves a combination of design, technique and beautiful materials.

ik had ooit al eens een SR1 van Lionsteel gekocht. De techniek van een frame uit 1 stuk, gecombineerd met een framelock vind ik mooi. Ik vind de SR 1 lomp groot. De TI Spine gebruikt dezelfde techniek, maar is een stuk kleiner. Verder heeft het mes een veel mooier lemmet. Een mes via internet kopen blijft altijd een goeie gok. Bij dit mes vooral de kleur. Uiteindelijk het paarse kleine mes besteld. Wat krijg ik; een nogal klein, paars mes. Maar wat een mooi mes, wat een lijnen!  Wat een kleur, apart, maar niet opzichtig. Wel een klein heft, maar door het vlijmscherpe mes ( en punt) lijkt het wel een scalpel. Met dit formaat mes kap je ook geen bomen en voor mijn dagelijks gebruik meer dan toereikend. Het mes zit oerdegelijk in elkaar, net als de SR1. De jimping zit wel raar verborgen in uitgeklapte toestand en met 1 hand openen vereist op zijn minst enige oefening, maar dat zijn voor mijn geen problemen. Dat openen heeft ook alles met het formaat te maken. Ik ben al aan het nadenken over een damast versie. En mocht Lionsteel ooit nog een BIG TI Spine uitbrengen, dan ben ik de eerste die er 1 koopt.
Over de verzendservice van Kato kan ik kort zijn; SNEL. Zij DOEN wat anderen alleen maar beloven.   

Wunderschönes Messer. Ich habe lange überlegt ob ich glänzend oder matt nehmen soll, bin jetzt sehr froh über matt, ist glänzend genug :-)
Verarbeitung top, keine Mängel. Volle Punktzahl gibt es nur nicht, weil die Schärfe besser sein könnte. Ich musste nachschleifen, was aber ganz passabel geht mit dem Elmax Klingenstahl.
Einhandöffnen ist aber nicht ganz einfach, da braucht man Kraft im Daumen.

Snel leveren duidelijke afspraken .
Tispine voldoet helemaal aan verwachting . Sterk, mooi, sexy, scherpte had beter moeten zijn!
