The **Medford Slim Midi Marauder** is a cool and robust pocket knife with a look and feel completely its own. In terms of blade thickness and handle thickness, this Slim version has lost quite a lot of weight compared to the normal Midi Marauder. What's striking is the thickness of the blade in combination with the thickness of the scales. They have the same thickness. As such, the Slim Midi Marauder looks incredibly strong.

## Medford Midi Marauder S45VN steel

The blade is made from CPM S45VN. The hollow grind on the blade was applied by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. With the thumb slot you can easily open the blade. At first this might take some getting used to. When opened, a solid framelock keeps the blade securely in place. Medford pressed the stop-pin in the blade. As a result, it symmetrically leans against the handle. This adds strength.

CPM S45VN is a premium, stainless type of steel. For years, this has been one of the most popular types of steel on the market. For a stainless steel, it is fairly tough and relatively easy to sharpen.
