The **MKM Raut** is a cool EDC pocket knife, designed by Lucas Burnley. What is most striking about the Raut is its blade shape: it's a combination of a mini clip point and a sheepsfoot. It has also been referred to as a 'reverse tanto'. In short: a unique blade shape.



Besides this, the Raut has a number of other features that you don't find on every knife. For instance, you open it with the front flipper. You use your thumb to open it just as fast as with a regular flipper. The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. This is an incredibly wear-resistant steel with excellent sharpness retention. It is also very corrosion-resistant. It is one of the most popular choices of steel at the moment. The spine of the blade has a stylish, semi-circular cut-out, which makes the blade all the more distinctive.



The handle is made from a combination of thick titanium liners with a layer of G10 on top. The Raut feels great in hand, and is a real pleasure to use as an EDC knife.


## What are the origins of MKM Knives?


MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. These are four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city of Maniago in northern Italy. This is the knife capital of Southern Europe. In fact, MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers. This MKM Raut is made by Viper.
