The NiteCore LR30 is a handy outdoor light. Compact in size, but massive in its capabilities. There are 6 high CRI LEDs behind the white cap. These LEDs have a combined maximum light output of 205 lumens. Due to the high CRI value, the colour rendering is very good. This means that colours will look just as good as they do in daylight, so you don't have to deal with the blue (cold) glow that you sometimes see from other LED lights. The Nitecore LR30 gets its power from one 18650 battery or two CR123A batteries. These are not included, so you can choose which option you prefer.
There are various attachment options on the back of the Nitecore LR30. Whether you want to attach it to a steel pipe or to a hook on the wall, the LR30 can do it. It has two magnets on the back, so you can hang it on any steel surface. There is also an elastic so you can hang it from a hook. You can also use the elastic to hang it from a branch, for example, or any other object up to three centimetres in diameter.
The lantern also has a battery indicator. When the light is off, press the side switch once. A blue LED will then flash in the lamp. This indicates exactly how the battery/batteries are doing.
As well as the warm white light, the LR30 also has the option of a red LED. When the lantern is off, briefly press the side switch twice and the red light will appear.
Because of its versatility, we see the NiteCore LR30 as an ideal light to have with you while camping or hiking. But the LR30 is also useful in a workshop or hobby attic.
