The Olamic Swish is a super cool pocket knife, made by Olamic Cutlery in California, USA. It is remarkably lightweight and has a large blade. Especially when you look at the blade length in relation to the handle. It is a large gentleman's knife. Made to be used, but at the same elegant and exclusive enough for your display case.
The Olamic Swish has a titanium handle and a Böhler Elmax steel blade. Elmax is a premium European steel that retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. Add to that the fact that it's also very stainless, and you know that this is a real winner. The titanium frame lock keeps the blade in place when opened. It has a steel insert with ceramic detent ball, and the blade runs on steel ball bearings with a steel interface between the bearings and the titanium handle. The incredibly well-executed fuller in the blade is a striking feature. It allows you to open the blade with your thumb, although we doubt you'll ever get tired of the extremely smooth flipping mechanism.
On this particular specimen, the blade has a PVD Stonewash finish. This is a user-friendly finish that masks wear and tear quite well. The handle has a five-hole pattern with bronze facets. A bronze Kinetic Earth finish gives the titanium scale a spectacular appearance. Matte bronze hardware completes the overall look.
