The Real Steel Harrier 9461 is one of the most special pocket knives from the Real Steel range. The materials might not be that uncommon: carpenter CTS-204P for the blade and a titanium handle with carbon fibre inlays. However, what makes this model special is the remarkable milling work, the contours of the carbon fibre inlays and the technological innovations you don’t see at first glance.
For instance, the blade hinges on a double row of ceramic ball bearings. These support the blade even more on the inside of the handle. Because they are ceramic they won’t wear out easily. But there is more! The detent ball, which is pushed inside the lockbar and keeps the blade closed, has been enhanced with an additional companion. So two detent balls. As a result the movement is even more flexible. This also prevents the lockbar from touching the blade when it is closed.
The titanium handle has been enhanced with two carbon fibre inlays. The remarkable, seemingly sculpted shapes of the inlays definitely show off the layered carbon fibre. It almost looks like carbon fibre damascus.
On the lockside of the Real Steel Harrier you can find the remarkable lockbar. When milling it out Real Steel added a remarkable S-turn. A funny little detail. The milled out rejuvenation of the lockbar which runs onto the lockbar itself is also special. When you look at the blade you can find a similar type of groove moving from the thumb stud to the blade. These types of funny details are definitely what make the Real Steel Harries stand out.
The thick hinge screw has been enhanced with a special design. Not the type of relief you will have a specific screwdriver for at home. For that reason Real Steel gives you a special tool that will help you adjust the pivot. Incredibly user-friendly!
