The **Real Steel Pelican 7921** is a cool EDC pocket knife, designed by Aslan Zhanabayev. This designer from Kazakhstan is known for his eccentric and outspoken designs. In that respect the Pelican is quite modest. It, however, still betrays the hand of the master. The different grip serrations on the handle are typical for his designs.



You opent he Real Steel Pelican with the flipper. Because of the ball bearings this is fast and easy. You can also open it with the thumb hole, but this might take some getting used to. When opened the knife is locked by a solid liner-lock. The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of steel that retains it sharpness well. You do, however, have to be careful around acids, salt and moisture: D2 is not completely stainless. You do, however, get a lot of toughness in return.



All in all the Real Steel Pelican is an appealing knife for a great price. With a very cool and usable design.
