This Reate Tiger makes it clear how Reate gained this reputation. The design, the materials used, the finish; this knife is perfect.

## Reate Tiger blade

The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. It's an Austrian super steel that excels in sharpness retention and corrosion resistance. What's special about these knives is their grind. The eccentric sharpening technique is not just a testament to Reate's expertise, it also provides practical advantages. The hollow grind of the blade provides improved cutting performance, while the flat grind at the tip ensures a more robust tip. The swedge makes the blade feel lighter than you'd expect a knife of this size to be.

## Reate Tiger handle

The handle is made from titanium with a Fat Carbon inlay. The sleek style of the knife is emphasized by the almost screwless design. Except for the pivot screw with its timascus detail, all screws are hidden by the bottom of the backspacer. Still accessible when the knife is open, just not visible. Whether you prefer a fully titanium handle with a textured pattern or a slightly more pronounced Fat Carbon inlay, the choice is yours. The backspacer has been milled, making it resemble the back of a crocodile.

The Reate Tiger comes in a luxurious storage case. This contains two extra steel washers, spare screws, a cloth, an Allen key, a patch and another small storage pouch. If you ever damage one of the screws, you will already own a couple of spares and accessories. Very user-friendly!
