The **Shapton RockStar 60305 coarse, J320 grit, 40 micron, sharpening stone** is the coarsest sharpening stone of the Shapton RockStar series. These sharpening stones are made of high-quality white aluminium oxide. This is a synthetic, ceramic material that is incredibly tough, and can accurately be produced in an exact grain size. The result? Very consistent sharpening results! You use a coarse sharpening stone for sharpening very blunt or even damaged knives. Or if you want to change the sharpening angle of the knife.

## How to use the Shapton RockStar

Let the stones soak in water for 5-6 minutes before use. This ensures less wear of the stone and more consistent sharpening results. Make sure that you keep the stone wet as you're sharpening. ## Shapton RockStar storage and maintance

To make sure your sharpening stone lasts and works well, there are a few important things to remember. First, do not leave the sharpening stone in water for long periods of time and always make sure it's dry after use. Store the sharpening stone at room temperature and in a dry place to prevent cracking. Do not keep the stones outdoors, or store them in direct sunlight! Do not use dish soap to clean it, but use a dressing stone.

## Shapton RockStar storage box and stickers

The sharpening stone comes with a stainless-steel storage case. Please note: this is just a storage case, not a holder to use during sharpening. Make sure the stone is dry before storing it. Keep the steel surface dry too, to prevent rust. With this sharpening stone, you will receive a sticker set to mark the surface of the storage box. This way, you can mark for yourself which stone is in which box without having to open it to check.
