Full description
The Spyderco Spydie Chef is the result of the third collaboration between the Polish knife maker Marcin Slysz and Spyderco. The Spyderco Spydie Chef is a pocket knife with a blade that might remind you of a Santoku knife (Japanese chef's knife). And that is exactly what it is meant to look like. It is the perfect knife to cut ingredients into small pieces. The titanium handle is slanted between the pivot and the blade. This offers additional grip as you use the knife. A great detail on this beautiful knife.
It can easily be opened by hand. When opened the knife highlights a lightly matted LC200N steel blade with a thin grind. This is a remarkable stainless type of steel. Incredibly practical when you use the knife a lot around (salt) water. LC200N-steel is also easy to sharpen.
All in all, the Spyderco Spydie Chef is a beautifully thought out combination between a tough pocket knife and a Japanese chef's knife. In short, a must-have for every Spyderco fanatic!
Please note: The pocket knife is not suitable for working with wood!
