Spyderco Waterway FB43GP fixed knife, Lance Clinton design
The Spyderco Waterway is an interesting fixed knife, made for fishing. The Waterway is designed by Lance Clinton, a professional when it comes to kayaking and someone who has thousands of hours of experience. At first glance the Waterway looks like a very normal knife. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Waterway is namely completely stainless!
How Spyderco was able to pull this off? The blade is made LC200N-steel. This is a remarkable stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The G10 handle is mounted to the full-tang construction of the handle to make sure no screws or pins are visible from the outside. As such no salt sea water will reach places where it could erode. Because only the G10 and the LC200N-steel blade are exposed to water the Waterway is completely stainless.
The G10 handle is enhanced with a milled-out diamond pattern. As such you will always have a lot of grip over the knife to make sure the Waterway can't slip from your hands. Even when you are fishing on a rough see. Despite the fact that the Waterway was mostly designed for fishing purposes the knife is also great for daily tasks. The Waterway comes with a solid kydex sheath with clip to make sure you can wear it on your belt.
