TOPS Knives Mini Pry Knife MPK-01 fixed knife

The TOPS Knives Mini Pry Knife MPK-01 is an incredibly robust fixed knife. Well… is knife the right word? It's more like a crowbar. TOPS developed this knife for soldiers and enforcers in extreme situations. You can use this knife to open doors, windows and closures. It's sharp, and it also has serrations for cutting through fibrous material. And, in TOPS' own words: ”The Size To Strength Ratio Is Awesome!”

The blade is made from 10 mm thick 5160 spring steel. The name says it all: it's springy and resilient. Perfect for side loads. However, this type of steel needs some care to prevent rust. That's why TOPS has added a black coating to the blade. You still have to take care of the edge and the engravings, though. They will appreciate a drop of oil every now and then.

For the handle, TOPS has reverted to the well-known micarta, a composite of linen and synthetic resin. It's very strong, stable, and lightweight, and offers good grip under almost all conditions.

Given the target group, a knife like this also needs a solid sheath. The Mini Pry Knife comes with a MOLLE-compatible nylon sheath.
