The **TRC Knives South Pole DLC Vanadis 4 Extra, Orange G10** is a robust and cool survival knife, made in Latvia. The source of inspiration for the South Pole was Roald Amundsen. This Norwegian explorer was the first man to ever reach the South Pole. He was known for his excellent preparation with which he could handle all possible situations. With the TRC South Pole you will be just as prepared!

## TRC Knives South Pole blade

The blade is made of Vanadis 4 Extra steel, which consistently excels in endurance tests. There are few steels available that retain their sharpness as long as Vanadis 4 Extra. In addition, it is very tough and can therefore handle its own. Vanadis 4 Extra is used almost exclusively by a handful of small, artisan knife makers, making it hard to find. That's why it's absolutely fantastic that a brand like GiantMouse created such a beautiful knife with this steel.

The flat grind is applied by hand in the TRC workshop. This rarely happens with production knives. With a 4.5 mm blade thickness you will always have enough strength in hands for survival tasks. At the same time the edge is nice and thin to make sure the knife cuts properly. This version features a black DLC coating (diamond-like coating).

## TRC Knives South Pole handle

The handle is made from G10. This is a composite material made from glass fibres and synthetic resin. The surface features a subtle checkered pattern. As a result, you will have even more grip over the knife. Because the curved tang of the blade protrudes from the handle, it will feel even better in hand. And thanks to the orange colour you won't easily lose it!

The TRC Knives South Pole comes with a stunning kydex sheath. It fits around the knife perfectly, you can definitely tell that a lot of attention was paid to it. The sheath is enhanced with a flexible belt loop with can also be converted for left-handed use. Of course, you can also select your own mounting method and screw this to the mounting holes. Please note: kydex almost always leaves behind small scratches on the blade as it slides in and out of the sheath. This is normal.

Fodero bello con ritenuta perfetta del coltello che scatta durante l’inserimento; lo scatto si ripete quando si estrae facendo leva col pollice su apposito appoggio.
