Diamond paste used for achieving the ultimate sharpening result by means of stropping.


After you sharpened a knife on an extra fine stone, your knife will be razor sharp. For the fan of the truly ultimate sharpness there is the possibility to completely polish your knife by means of so-called stropping. This is done by using diamond paste you apply to a leather strop. Where most sharpeners perform the stropping on a stone after the sharpening, some of them also choose to use strops in order to maintain the sharpness of the knife. In case there is no leather strop available, also a piece of cardboard or, for example, MDF or balsa wood can be used.  
  


You apply a very small amount of diamond paste and gently polish the edge of your knife. In principle you move away from the edge in order to prevent cutting your strop.

La cantidad es adecuada y suficiente para mi asentador de 21x7 cm.
Hace su trabajo, el asentado queda mejor.

Les diamants ont plus gros que les tailles annoncées (visibles avec une loupe microscope x60) dans la pâte qui est un peu "collante". A mettre sur des cuirs très durs et pas trop épais pour être efficace.

Habe die Paste auf einem neuen zweiseitigen Abziehriemen verwendet.  Eine Seite 6 Mikron, andere Seite 3 Mikron. Wenn die 3-er Paste alle ist, kommt dann 1 Mikron auf diese Seite. Dann wird das Ergebnis noch besser werden. Ich bin jetzt aber mit der DMT-Dia-Paste bis jetzt schon sehr zufrieden und werde sie wieder kaufen.
