Early days yet but so far I have sharpened all my chisels and hand plane blades and the product works well. Never had such a good edge on my tools.. Time will tell if the surfaces wear out quickly or not but I was happy to pay a bit more as DMT has a good reputation for quality. I would recommend buying the stand too.
