Who is Otter Knives?
Otter is a German knife brand with a long history. It all started in a small water-powered grinding mill at Königsmühle in Solingen. The long-standing family business was taken over by a knife enthusiast named Frank Rommel in 2011. Otter's knives still reflect the company's traditional past.

Otter is renowned for the fact that a huge part of the production is still done by hand. This gives Otter's knives their famous, authentic look. Because every knife is produced by hand and furnished with natural handle materials, each piece is unique. Beautiful gentlemen's knives that have remained unchanged for centuries.
Where is Otter Knives from?
After all these years, Otter knives are still produced in Solingen, Germany. With plenty of passion and love, every knife is carefully inspected before it leaves the factory. The name Otter comes from the fish otters that used to live on the banks of the streams and rivers in the Bergisches Land.
