This knife was soooooo sharp out of the box - as I've found with all the Benchmade knives I bought. (S30V or S20V). One only has to look at them to cut ones' self!! The price of these knives can seem a bit high but they are well worth the money & actually represent great value IMO. The locking mechanism is the smoothest I have come across, so far & it alone sells the knives IMO. Comfort in the hand is outstanding - the balance & grip are phenomenal (Although I have not tried to use any with gloves on!) Cuts cardboard all day & only requires a bit of stropping to bring back the nice sharp edge. (Not that it really went away - it just helps one believe one is looking after it!) If you’re in the market for only one great pocket knife this could be the one!! If not then look at the other Benchmades I can assure you one will fit the bill & disappointed not will you be!!!

The sharpest knife I have ever owned! Amazing axis lock, great quality handle and overall finish. Best packaging I've had from a knife manufacturer. Large blade length to me is very usable. Sure benchmade have a look that may seem a little boring, but when I got this knife I couldnt believe the quality fit and finish. Well done USA!
