The Benchmade 595 Mini Boost is a solid pocket knife, the little brother of the Benchmade Boost. This pocket knife has been enhanced with a strong assisted opening. This means that when you open it, it is assisted by a strong spring. As a result the blade will shoot from the handle. When opened the Axis-lock will firmly keep the blade in place.
To prevent unnecessary opening the Mini Boost has been enhanced with a secondary lock on its spine. Slide the latch forward and the blade will stay in place when closed. The Benchmade Mini Boost has a blade made from CPM S30V steel: an American type of powder metallurgic steel. Sounds difficult but the only thing you have to remember is that this is a high-tech kind of steel perfect for pocket knives. Retains its sharpness well, is abrasion resistant and relatively easy to sharpen yourself. With a length of 7.8 cm this blade is perfect for everyday use.
For the handle Benchmade has chosen a relatively new type of material: Versaflex. A light-weight type of thermoplastic that feels great in hand. In terms of construction the pocket knife is completely symmetric making it the perfect tool for both left and right-handed users. The pocket clip has been placed for right-handed use but you can easily switch it by using a Torx T6 screwdriver.
