Full description
The Böker Cox is a reasonably compact knife that is ideal for EDC. It was designed by Jens Ansø, who has made many knives for Böker. The Cox meets the legal requirements in many countries. It has no locking system. It is a so-called slip joint design. That means that a spring gives a very solid resistance and that the blade locks into place on 3 positions: closed, opened and at an angle of 90 degrees. The resistance is large enough to provide security. Also, the knife can not be opened with one hand. That, too, is in some cases required by law.
The blade has a design that tends to a sheepfoot-form. The N690BO-steel which is used, is a tough and strong type of steel. In many cases this is used for heavy knives. The stonewashed finish gives the blade a sturdy look. And camouflages, very practical, traces of wear and tear.
This version of the Cox has one side covered in coarse machined G10. The other side is made of metal that has the same stonewashed finish ast he blade. The smooth, matte pocket clip can be mounted in 2 places: tip-up and tip-down.
