The **Böker Patina paring knife** has slim dimensions, with an almost 11 cm blade that ends up in a spearhead-like tip. As such the paring knife can handle the more delicate tasks in the kitchen, while still being large enough to cut meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. 


The Patina collection is comprised of a small collection of kitchen knives that emphasizes the heritage of the products produced in Solingen. The collection is comprised of only three knives. The Patina collection owes its name to the blade steel that is used for all three knives. Böker namely used O1 steel. A tough carbon steel that retains its sharpness well. The fine structure of non-stainless O1 carbon steel, combined with the thin grind maintain the edge and the superior cutting properties. Like all types of carbon steel O1 will oxidise when exposed to acid food, meat and water. This almost inevitable patina coating provides a certain natural resistance to rust. Each patina is unique for the individual knife and Böker encourages users to embrace the oxidation process. These traces of use to not affect the value of the knife, but are an expression of its quality, unique beauty and a personal story - yours. 


The Patina kitchen are full-tang and come with birch or chestnut scales. These scales reflect the individuality of the patina, considering the fact that each scale of this natural material will be unique in terms of grain and texture. This exclusive material that was selected by hand offers a lively, flaming pattern. The composition of the Böker Patina collection is complemented with copper rivets.
